VISIT TO THE TWIN FALLS.

hello!!!

M friend Charo came over to Maui...It is really nice to have her here, it is like a bit of home. Yesterday morning we went to visit the twin falls. It was sort of early in the morning, but we went on the water anyways, and it felt great afterwards.
After, the wind picked up and we had a pretty good sailin g session at Hook. I wasnt in very good form, crashing a lot and not really doing very good, but today, it is another day!

STRANGE DAYS

After those really nice days, the wind has dropped and changed direction a bit. It has been a bit more NE, so the north shore is been pretty messy...and big, yes, still big. Anyways, I have been able to sail a few times, some freestyle over Kihei, etc.. a bit scared over there, as it is supposed to be very "sharky". I keep my technic of saying that anything i see on the waves, might be a turtle. Lets see what happens next... be tuned, because something BIG seems like it is going to happen! Best wishes to all!

BIG DAY...

Hi all!!!!!

Today we had our proper big swell since we got here. It started off big, but not massive, that is when i went out. I was shitting in my pants a little bit, because some sets were actually quite big. I could take a few waves, so I am quite please. Then I came in and it started getting even bigger. The sets were closing out the channel and the waves were all one from lanes to Hookipa... so i didnt go out anymore. My friend Tatiana had and unlucky day. On her first wave she hit the lip on a big one and got smacked on her face with her mast, so that was it for her for today. She got quite a big bump on her forehead, so it was better to stay out of the water.

BOARDS FENCE

If you are keeping old boards and you dont know what to do with them, look, you can use them to make the fence around your property. This house had I think more than 100 boards around the fence. All kind, shapes and ages...that was a museum of the windsurfing boards history!

UNEXPECTED WINDY DAY!

Hi there!!!!

Today we were not especting a windy day, but it came! Here you have some frames again from some video.
Yesterday it rained like hell!!!!!!
And our car is finally dying. The other night, we were going down this hill, it was fully dark (here most of the roads dont have any lights) and suddenly our lights switched off!!!!! just likme that! so we were going down hill in pitch black, with the brakes not actually working very well and the stearing weel pretty f***ed too. So I had enough...I was so scared that today i said "that´s it! we are renting a car". we look like cooks now with our rented car, but at least I dont feel it could be my last trip whenever I jump in the car! it was funny though, and the car actually was very nice.... but it was getting to its limit...poor machine.

I just knew that a windsurfer from here from Maui had beed diagnosed with Cancer. If you feel like it, go to the website that the Maui Winsurfing Company has made for him to get finnacial support. Here in the USA the hospitals are crazy expensive (to give you an idea, to remove a little thing from my eye last year, in ten minutes, it costed me 2000 dollars!!!) So I hope you can make a donation to him, because you never know when are we gonna be needed of help ourselves.

SECOND DAY HOOKIPA=JOHN'S BROKEN NOSE

Yes, the pics are not nice, but it is the result of our second day sailing at Hookipa. It wasnt even a good day, it was just average, but John did a goiter and the boom somehow smack his nose. Poor John came in, and I didnt know he was injured, so I carried on sailing for another half and hour with him waiting for me on the beach to go to hospita! Result: 7 stitches and broken nose.
