STORMY WEATHER NOW HERE IN GC...

Hi there,
it is definetly winter time. Yesterday and today we had some stormy weather here in the Canaries. Yesterday we could still sail, a bit messy, on shore and rainy, but still super fun. Today though, a massive swell arrived, and it was all messy and all over the place, and the wind was just changing directions every half an hour... so time to practice some cooking! we tried to make some pizza, doing the base ourselves... we could eat it, but it wasnt the best... but we had a laugh doing it!!!
seems like we will have some sailing soon... lets see...
all the best wishes to all...

BYE MAUI....

Hi,
we are off tonight. It has been a really nice time here in Maui. We had a bit of everything. Very nice Hookipa days at the beggining, some sailing on the Upper West side, some really nice surfing days, bbqs with friends, a few freestyle days in Kihei, then the Kona wind days, some HUGE swells (nice to see...), twin falls, bamboo forests, crazy storm and flooding, electricity cuts, etc...Quite a lot of things in just over a month!!! now we head back home, in Gran Canaria... yes, to go sailing and surfing back with friends, etcs... I have a stop in London, so probably will post something from there... Once again, thanks Nicole and Stefan for the pics!
All the best!

RAINY DAY...

Today it rained like hell in here!!!!! the electricity went off a lot of times during the day, and there was a lot of floodings everywere. The kona winds were blowing super strong, putting down some electricity posts. We thought about going to Kihei, but we heard it was even worst down there.. it felt so scary!!!! so it was a day for the Gym, what is not bad. Lets see tomorrow....

BIG KONA DAY AND BAMBOO FOREST: ALL IN ONE!

Hi All,
Today was a full-power day. First, early in the morning, my friend Charo and I went to the Bamboo Forest. It is super pretty and a very nice hike with a few waterfalls. Then, straigh to Hookipa. Kona wind was blowing!!! it was actually VERY BIG!!!!!!!! I wasnt sure about going out, as the sets were super big... but in the end, I dont know how, I made it out. I didnt do great, I was too scared to be honest. I was just running on the shoulders of the waves (soooo fast it was!!!! crazy!), looking always behind to see what was coming and all that, so I was miles away from doing anything relatively good... but I am happy... I mean, I fought my fear and made it out and wonder around looking, learning and getting into it. And then, to come back in to the beach was even more scary! i didnt know when the good time would be to come back, as i didnt want to get stuck in front of the rocks with no wind, plus when I was thinking about coming back in, I was watching all the big sets braking from behind...I was shitting my self!!!!. But thanks to God, I made it safely back to the beach. Sorry i dont have sailing shots, but as you can see, John was busy enough with his own busines! ;-) the guys were ripping!!!: John Skye, Victor Fernandez, Polakow, Levi, Baker, Ross Williams, Camille, Keith Teboul, Kevin Pritchard, Swift, Taboulet, Manu, Ferrareto, and more that I cant remember now... and then, in case we didnt burn enough adrenaline we went to hit some balls at tennis, i think i needed it to let the stress from the fear out!!!

All the best wishes to all, and lets see what happens tomorrow!!!!!!
