MORE SYLT...

Yesterday we had a looooong day at the beach. the skippers meeting was a 7:00 in the morning! dark at the time!!! but the conditions were not good enough to run the waves, so they run the freestyle. Taty Frans won the double elimination! Super happy for him as well. At least i could go sailing for a while in the afternoon. it was soooo hard! it was pretty much straight on-shore, and with so much current that it makes it super difficult. You are kind of over powered but you move so slow due to the current! and being so on shore is super hard to ride or jump... pretty difficult.

the forecast is not good... IS SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am actually shitting my pants a bit about Saturday and Sunday. and I think you would only understand this if you have been here in Sylt before. it gets hard-core.

Once again, here we are in Sylt!!!!!

so far not much action for the wave sailors and the Slalom sailors are on hold all the time. The forecast is kind of promising, but here you never know! i have the feeling that it is going to be a tough year!!!! but we'll see... So far, and like always, there is a lot of people around, good fun, and we have been hanging around in the Fanatic tent and the sailors tent... but the day feels quite long when you dont sail!!!! stay updated on the PWA site.

FULL-ON WEEK!!!!! A FEW KM UNDER MY BELT...

What a week!

After the Animal Windfest, straight away on monday, we headed on a mission to go sailing with Timo, JC, Skyeboy and Swift. We drove for nearly 4 hours from Poole to Kent. but luckily we had a fun session. Tuesday we rested a bit, but wednesday, we were on the road again for another 3 1/2 hour drive again. this time, the conditions were better: strong 3,7 for me and we were for about 4 hours sailing!! so we were pretty stocked and the drive back wasnt too bad. thursady we rested again and friday it was Timo's wedding all day. super nice and beautiful wedding. But then it started a new mission. one of my best friends decided in that week that she would marry on saturday, so i had to make it back to GC in time. I left Timo's wedding at 23:00 jump in a coach from 00:30 until 4:30 to get to Gatwick, from there, a flight to TF South (no flight suitable to get on time to GC), from there, Dani Bruch and his girlfriend Caro picked me up to drive me to TF north to catch the plane to GC. finally I made it and was in time to go to the wedding, which was really nice... mission accomplished!, tiring, but worth it! And now, ready to go to Sylt!!!!!

ANIMAL WIND FESTIVAL

I am in the UK since last thursday. during the weekend we had the Animal Wind Festival in Poole. We are sponsored by Animal since the beginning of the year, so it was pretty cool to go and meet the rest of the team. Unfortunately, like every year, there was no wind so the kiters and the windsurfers couldnt really make a show... but instead we had some of the best bike jumpers and BMXs and they were doing an amazing show... really amazing... this guys are though. they land hard!!!!!!!!!!!!

then yesterday, we did about 6 hours drive from Poole to Kent, to go sailing for a few hours.. it was quite fun in the end, nothing amazing but good laugh with JC, Timo, Skyeboy, Swift and Heidi.

ANIMAL WIND FESTIVAL

I am in the UK since yesterday. The weather is really good... what is not very common here! Today it starts the Animal Wind Festival, and we will be there supporting!

SLOW DAYS

Well, my friend said I needed to update the blog, so here we go. But the truth is it has been a slow week. the conditions haven't been great, so I managed to be strong and give my shoulder a rest. ok, I did sail a bit a few days, but only for an hour... then, it wasn't really worth it: flat and gusty for sailing and a bit choppy or not very good for surfing, so I was strong and didn't go out. it feels better... but we'll see. And that's it! you see? not much really to update these days!

And about me? well, still struggling with mu bloody shoulder that doesnt let me sail properly. today it was fun in Pozo. I had an early session in the morning, but I was pretty overpowered on 3,3 and you need to use all you strength to sail well when is like this. so I didnt, i had fun, but wasnt my best. but i did something when i came off the water and actually tonight feels a lot better...aaaaaaayyyyy.... I know that it is all my fault, I mean, what I have will get better just by having some proper few weeks of rest.. but who can rest when it is windy all the time and some fun waves? i cant!
