AND SOME FREESTYLE TOO...

Well, the weather has turn a bit weird here in Maui, but still sailable. so on Saturday we decided to go for a bit of freestyle, John, Junko and me... Men... freestyle is so hard!! and I havent done so much lately that i am struggling! Junko on the other hand, is ripping... good motivation!! Thanks to Anna Blanch for taking the pics!!!

BACK ON THE WATER: EVENING SESSION WITH ANNITA

Finally this morning i woke up feeling good enough to get on the water. it wasnt great really anywhere, so in the afternoon/evening we went to baby beach to see if we could get some shots. I was a bit of a mission. as soon as we finished rigging up, the sun disappear and the wind died. but we decided to give it a try anyways. in the end we could catch a few waves... so all good.. i just hope i dont get sic again!

JAWS DAY...NOT FOR ME!!! :-))

Everyone was expecting it to be an epic day of windsurfing at Jaws, but something weird happened and the wind didnt really happened. so the Tow Surfers had the point all for themselves. finally i left the house (still not 100% recovered) to go and watch it for a while, with John, Anita and Wixi.. and it was worth it. we saw some amazing drops! respect! check the few waves i could film before the rain came and the pics... Apparently now i hear that the wind picked up later on and they did sail it for a bit... but we werent there anymore..

Ye, it has been non stop here, until today for me. 2 sessions a day for last 5 days made me finally a bit sick again when I woke up today. I thought about not even going to the beach, but I knew it would be going off and i had to see it and maybe take some pictures... and it was... it was BIG on the sets, so not a day to go out half sick (although I was feeling guilty for not going.. well... thats crazy me.. aaanyways... I carry on). The pic from Brawzinho is not from today, is from yesterday, but anyways... the other ones yes, are from today, with.. Camille in one of the set waves, John and Junko. I stayed for just a bit on the cliff, and then I made myself go back home.... No pics from me.. until "someone else" takes the camera....

MAUI UPDATE

It h been pretty weird weather over here... it has been rainy and gusty winds, but this doesnt mean we havent got good conditions.
yesterday it was a fun day at Hookipa, but then, like in the last two days, the wind shutted off in an instant, making it quite difficult to come back to the beach.
we also had a super fun day at Camp One the other day, jumping with Brazinho, Ricardo, Anita, Junko, John and me...

but the best report is from two days ago. We arrived at Hookipa, and although we were not expecting it too big, we saw pretty big sets coming through. it was weird, beacause for a long period would be normal size, and then suddenly for a while it was pretty BIG. so the thing is that when we arrived and saw the bog sets, I though "ok, it is pretty big... oh God, should I go, should i not..". I decided to go, even thought I was super scared. the wind was shifty and up and down because of the rain... but anyways.. I made it out. but look how the mind was. in my mind, i was already scared, and i let it be there, instead of switching it and thonk "come on!! you can do this, is ok!".. well, not, i didnt, i stayed in the scared mode. In my mind, i wasnt objective al all... in my mind, it was HUGE, so i barely got a few waves and ride pretty much the shoulder and always super aware about what was behind, etc... not worth it... really... then the wind died... literally died, and there I was, far out, sinking, and with the though in my mind that it was super big.. i was sooooo worried... i made it in, just. when i put my gear down, i looked out, and it didnt look that huge at all.... it was so weird. It was a weird experience. on the water i just kept thinking: "what the hell am I doing here? what do I want to prove?" it wasnt worth it in terms of the waves i took, but it was worth it for the adrenaline... Weird mind session.. i tell you... the guys were ripping though: Levi, John, Bouj, Ricardo and Junko was also ripping hard... she is soo good at Hookipa....

ok.. here is a pictures posts. As most of you know, Kevin Pritchard is quite a good photographer. well, on Friday night we went up to his place as he was experimenting some studio shots. it was pretty fun and he got some pretty cool shots. you can see more of his shots on his website/blog.

Then we have just bought a little better camera... and I took some shots from John. Lets see if i learn properly!!

NON STOP! I AM TIRED!

It is non stop here in Maui, with fun good waves and wind. I am soooo tired! I have been sailing Hookipa all the time, so I should actually change a bit and go somewhere else to jump or just change. But it is so fun and challenging there that I cant help it but stop and sail there!! it is such a tricky place, at least for me! i get a nice wave and have a nice turn, then i get three more where I dont even know what I am doing!! oh well.. I will try to remember just the good ones!!!

It has been pretty good over here.. I guess everyone knows by now... but I have been a bit sic. I hadnt got sic this year, not even after Sylt! so it was about time... so I havent been able to enjoy it full power the last couple of days, but no worries. today I feel better and i still looks like it could be fun.

Hi there,

yep, that is what I have gone through in the last two days. but it was worth it! the sailing was super fun at Hookipa, nice good size waves... not too big, not too small some really good sets every now and then. now tomorrow I think it is going to be pretty big. i hope it gets or howling or super light, so i can use one of the two sails i got left! we'll see. at least nothing happened to me!

i have already finished the video with the summer footage, i will put it up tomorrow...
